Splitter
Bars
Splitter bars make an economical choice with today's high machinery and seed costs. Splitter bars have been field proven on our farm as well as farms throughout the Midwest and abroad.
With a splitter bar system you can utilize your existing corn planter without sacrificing maneuverability of a standard planter.
- No Negative Tongue Weight
- Minimal Amount of Extra Tongue Weight
- Safer Road Transport
This allows a smaller tractor to pull the planter, without sacrificing maneuverability.
Each splitter bar has two swiveling lift wheels that raise and lower the planter. These wheels also do not affect the turning radius of your current planter. You can turn just as tight as before even with a splitter bar attached.
Splitter bars attach to your existing 30, 36, 38, or 40 inch row width planter to plant 15, 18, 19, 20, or twin row corn, soybeans, sunflowers, milo, or cotton.
Each splitter bar has pull arm attachments that mount to the splitter bar and come forward to rest on a 2 and 5/16 inch ball, secured by a lynch pin. The ball is attached to a bracket that bolts on the front planter. This allows for quick and easy hookup and detachment. (Approximate time, 5 to 10 minutes.)
Planters with splitter bars are an excellent choice for contoured, terraced, or rolling land because of its parallel two bar flex. Splitter bars also have more residue flow room than any narrow row planter made.
Each splitter bar has its own self-contained drive system consisting of:
- A Separate Transmission
- Two Adjustable Drive Wheels
Since each splitter bar is self-driven, there is no need for long drive chains connecting your front planter. Our splitter bars will save you time and eliminate strain to your front planter's drive system and clutches.
